Old Class

About 12 years ago i joined my mother for a visit at my grandmother's home,  as we were sitting with her looking at old photos from her childhood and talking about her past.

Not only it was a great way spending the morning with my grandmother looking at her past, but also, being inspired artistically by those years (late 19th century - 1930's), it was amazing to see those unique quality photos from these times, while hearing interesting stories from Germany on the late 1920's-early 1930's.

This beautiful photo of my grandmother hugged by her mother was taken on late 1920's in Regensburg, Germany where my grandmother was born.

Even though it's not notable from that scanning,  this photo has a unique quality and texture which (unfortunately) doesn't exist nowadays, not only because using film cameras and especially large format cameras is becoming less and less popular,  but also because of the difference on the printing process which gave it its silvery look.
