LE PETIT TINTIN: 3 Women, 1 Iconic Haircut

I couldn't ignore it when i suddenly realise how iconic is this haircut and how many it has been used in films, music videos and fashion photoshoots.
here are 3 of the most famous ones:

Jeanne Moreau from "La Baie des Anges" 1963

The first one belongs to one of my favorite actresses ever, french actress Jeanne Moreau from "Bay of Angels" (Le Baie des Anges) 1963, directed by Jacques Demy, tells the story of Jean (Claude Mann), a young bank employee, who gets interest in gambling, after earning some money, he goes for a vacation to Nice, where he falls in love with Jackie (Jeanne Moreau), divorced and a mother to a child, who has an addiction to gambling.

To me, ignoring what this story is about, this haircut is so classy, chic and classic on Jeanne Moreau, which made it a truly memorable Femme Fatale moment.

The second one, is Penélope Cruz from "Broken Embraces" 2009 directed by the brilliant Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar.

The film tells the story of "Harry Caine", a blind writer who shares his life story with his agent Judit and her son.

One memorable moment from this film is when during the conversation, "Harry" tells the next line:

"-What do you want to see
to cheer you up?
- I'd like to hear
Jeanne Moreau's voice."
As a big fan of Jeanne Moreau i couldn't agree more when i heard him saying that : )

Penélope Cruz from Pedro Almodóvar's "Los Abrazos Rotos" (Broken Embraces) 2009

The third and the the latest one, is Madonna from her latest "Girl Gone Wild" music video directed by fashion photographers Mert&Marcus.

though the references were to Madonna's Sex Book, her Erotica days and her other 1990's music videos, i immediately thought about the 1940's glamour, with the platinum blond hair and the dark lipstick.

However, As it wasn't the first time madonna was photographed with this haircut, (the previous time was when she was photographed to a photoshoot for W Magazine by Steven Klein with her ex-boyfriend Jesus Luz) i truly believe she originally got inspiration for the 1950's cougars look from Jeanne Moreau in the "Bay of Angels".
